WHY I CREATED THIS PROGRAM

My Story

I struggled with my weight and emotional eating most of my life. I could stick to a diet for a few months, but eventually I would hit a bad day and feel like 'why bother?' Food brought me joy and comfort and on those bad days, this seemed more important. The next day I would wake up feeling ashamed and broken. And then, I would start the cycle over.  

 

My solution came by emphasizing protein, vegetables and healthy fat, which saved my mind and energy from constantly thinking about food. But more importantly, I learned to love myself and allow emotions. Those out-of-control urges are actually your subconscious trying to keep you safe. By connecting with your body and easing the fear, the cravings calm down. Then, what you eat doesn't matter!

How is this food plan different from a diet?
I've tried low-carb before and it didn't last. Why would this be different?

Because biology is only one piece of the puzzle. Most low-carb approaches give you the what but not the why it's so hard to sustain. Empower You addresses the subconscious patterns ("food is comfort," "I don't deserve to feel good") and the emotional triggers that pull you off track. The weekly hypnosis audios are designed specifically to rewire those deeper layers so the changes stop feeling like deprivation and start feeling like self-care.

I'm not sure I have time for a 6-week course. What's the time commitment?

Professional Bio

Juniper Devecis MS, RD, CCN is a biochemist, functional nutritionist, and single mom. Her lifetime battles with weight led her to a Master’s degree in nutritional biochemistry and a 20-year career as a dietitian involved in research, teaching, and designing supplements. Through a personal journey that started with divorce, she discovered the key to her emotional eating struggles, lost a hundred pounds, and found a whole new life. She offers her lessons as a roadmap for other women who are stuck in this same struggle. Juniper also maintains a private practice offering transformational workshops and counseling. She is passionate about helping other women feel better and lead the vibrant juicy lives they deserve. She lives outside Boston with her kids and three cats.
